WHO IS TIM PEPER

I’ve always been fascinated by why people people - the way our minds and bodies work, the way we make sense of our stories, the way we are with others. That fascination led me through my own personal labyrinth of therapy, self-exploration, and plenty of tough lessons. I know what it’s like to feel stuck—to be weighed down by the stories we tell ourselves, the roles we play, the trauma we carry around with us, and the expectations that don’t seem to let up. While I've been through it, truth-be-told… I’m still on a life-long journey,

just like the rest of us.

This is Lupine, therapy-dog in training!

HOW I WORK

Therapy isn’t about pretending things aren’t hard or plastering on a fake smile.

Therapy is about getting curious about the hard stuff, making space for the uncomfortable feelings, and learning to embrace and embody all the parts of you and your life that you’ve been taught to ignore, hide, or shun.

It’s about figuring out what “healing” even looks like for you, and walking that path together—whether it’s messy, slow, or filled with weird twists and turns. Because spoiler alert: it usually is.

THERAPY AS COLLABORATION

Therapy is a collaboration—it’s not me “fixing” you (because you’re not broken), but it’s also not just you doing all the heavy lifting. It’s us, together, creating space to unpack whatever shit you’ve been carrying around. I use a trauma-informed approach, which basically means that I’m not interested in “what’s wrong”, but “what happened” - what was too much, too soon, or too fast - and working to untangle those knots and loosen those straps. We’ll also focus on embodying self-compassion, developing new strategies for navigating your internal world, and empowering you to live into a life story that sets you free.

My belief in your capacity for courage, compassion, connection, and clarity forms the foundation of everything we’ll do together. Whether we’re exploring Internal Family Systems (IFS)—which is basically about getting to know the different parts of you—or using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you live more fully into your values, the goal is always the same: to help you step into a deeper, more spacious, more empowering relationship with yourself. We’ll get curious. We’ll experiment. We’ll get comfortable with discomfort. And ultimately, we’ll work toward a place where you feel more in control of your life and more connected to the world around you.
